Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 25, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Compliant Trucker LLC ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use Daily USDOT (the "Service") at dailyusdot.com.

1. Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account we collect your email address and your name (if provided) via our authentication provider, Clerk. We also store a hashed identifier Clerk issues for your account.

Payment information

Subscription billing is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, CVC, or full bank details — those live with Stripe. We store the Stripe customer ID and subscription metadata (plan, status, renewal date) so we can display your billing state and gate paid features.

CRM authorization tokens

If you connect HubSpot, Pipedrive, or Zoho, we receive OAuth access and refresh tokens scoped to your CRM account. These are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM and used solely to push the new-USDOT records you opt to receive. You can revoke this access at any time from the CRM Sync pageor from your CRM's "Connected Apps" settings.

Usage and product data

We log basic application events (e.g. which Register dates you viewed, when you exported a CSV, when a CRM push succeeded or failed). This data is tied to your account and used to operate, debug, and improve the Service.

Public data we ingest from FMCSA

The Service ingests the FMCSA Daily Register, a public record published by the U.S. Department of Transportation at motus.dot.gov. That dataset is public-domain and contains business-entity information (USDOT numbers, company names, addresses, company officer names, business telephones) about parties that have filed for operating authority with FMCSA. We display this data to subscribers and push it to subscribers' CRMs. We are not the publisher of this data and do not warrant its accuracy — see motus.dot.gov or fmcsa.dot.gov for the original source.

2. How we use information

  • To provide the Service: show you the daily Register, deliver email digests, push new DOTs to your CRM.
  • To bill you: process subscription payments and renewals via Stripe.
  • To support you: respond to requests at [email protected].
  • To improve the Service: identify bugs, performance issues, and patterns in feature usage.
  • To comply with law: respond to subpoenas, court orders, and other legal process.

3. Third-party processors

We share necessary data with the following sub-processors:

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not share data with advertising networks.

4. Cookies and tracking

We use first-party cookies from Clerk to maintain your signed-in session. We also use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, features used, and conversion events such as sign-up and subscription). Google Analytics sets its own cookies and processes usage, device, and approximate location data; Google Analytics 4 does not store your full IP address, and we do not enable Google advertising or remarketing features. We never send your name, email, or other directly identifying information to Google Analytics.

You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, by blocking analytics cookies in your browser, or by emailing [email protected] and we will honor your request.

5. Data retention

We retain account information for as long as your subscription is active. After you cancel and your access period ends, we retain billing records for 7 years as required by U.S. tax law, then delete or anonymize the rest. You can request deletion of your account at any time by emailing [email protected].

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA / CPRA, including the right to know what information we collect and the right to opt out of any sale (we do not sell). EEA / UK residents can lodge a complaint with their data protection authority.

7. Security

We use industry-standard protections: HTTPS everywhere, encrypted database connections, AES-256-GCM for CRM tokens at rest, principle-of-least-privilege access controls. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

The Service is intended for business users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

9. International transfers

Our infrastructure runs in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S.

10. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you by email or in-app.
